The easiest way to achieve the heavy sound of djent is to down tune.Although you can go lower than this, i'd advise that you use baritone guitars for the c standard.They allow you a thick enough bottom to handle heavy rhythm and the 11 on the top allows you to keep the tension when tuning down while still being manageable to play.R/djent extraordjinaire i tune my 6 string in drop a and g, using 60 gauge on the e string.I think drop c and b are common on 6 strings.
